School Coordinators will visit the School section to update school
information, create and edit courses and cohort information, create and edit cohort schedules,
request placements, and perform other
School Coordinator tasks. ("Grayed-out" words
will indicate functions that you do not have the appropriate permissions to
use.)
Typically, School Coordinators will use CCPS by working down the list of menu options
on the left. The steps include:
Step 1:
Click on 'Work with Courses & Cohorts'
to enter or modify information about a school, courses,
and cohorts. Users may also add and remove courses and cohorts on this screen. School Coordinators may also click on the
List Courses and
Cohorts report icon to view a complete listing of all the Courses and Cohorts they
have created for their location.
Step 2:
Click on 'Work with Cohort Schedules' to create, edit, delete and/or view a schedule.
The proposal status of a cohort schedule can also be viewed on this screen.
Click on 'Copy Schedules' to use existing schedule information to create new schedules
with different dates for future placements. School Coordinators may also click on
the Cohort Schedule Report icon to view a complete listing of all the Cohort Schedules
they have created for their location.
Step 3:
Click on 'Work with Placement Requests' to search for unit
availability that matches your needs and submit the clinical placement request for your cohort. The
'View Unit Availability' link can be used to see where clinical placements are possible
and what has already been scheduled, but is not a pre-cursor to requesting placements. Click on 'View & Edit Proposals' to view the proposals you have made, and to withdraw your request in the case of
an error or change. School
Coordinators may also click on the School Proposals Report icon to view a complete
listing of all the School Proposals that have been submitted for their location.
This report will also show the status of all proposals.
Note: The reports that are available within each of the steps mentioned above have
been created to assist
coordinators in reviewing the information within CCPS. All lists and reports
are accessible by any visitor to the site; no login is required.
School Coordinator Admin:
Click on 'Manage Preferred Partners' link to select specific clincial agencies
that are a good match for your school. This will serve as a valuable as filter criteria
when searching for matching unit availability. Click on 'Manage Coordinators' or 'Manage Instructors' to
add/update/or remove school coordinators and
instructors for your school.
